Prepping for the Prom

Wait! Don't drive off with ultra prince without checking out our pre-prom planner.

You have to look perfect, act exceptionally cool-as if you always hang out in hose and high heels-and still have fun? Right! Make it easy on yourself . . . take a look at the following tips, get it together, and bring on the night.

. If you're having trouble finding prom-appropriate earrings, keep it elegantly simple with pearl studs.

. When it comes to pantyhose, it's best to wear a sheer pair in the same shade as your dress, or simply opt for a nude color.

. C-c-cold? Take cover with a pretty shawl, a piece of chiffon, or a knit challis. A leather bomber jacket or a jean jacket also looks hot when accessorized with a pearl pin or lace hankie.

. There's no cause to wear a watch: Remember, a wrist corsage is on its way (you should at least purchase a posie for him).

. The day before the prom, treat yourself to a manicure and a pedicure.

. Don't cut or color your hair right before the bash. Accidents do happen, and you don't want to look like a hair nightmare.

. Pack a few safety pins in your purse in case of seam explosions. And you can't forget a comb, lipstick, emergency money, and the number of a cab company (better to be safe than sorry).

Now have a blast!
