The Myth About Changing Shampoos
A lot of people switch shampoos because they feel it gives their hair a break, or it's the thing to do, or the product works better if you don't use it for a while.

They're Right!

Because any shampoo that leaves residue or build-up on the hair, should not be used continuously. But, if you use a shampoo that does not build up on your hair, you don't have to switch!

How To Tell The Difference

If, after using your shampoo, your hair feels soft and silky, watch out! The manufacturer puts ingredients in the formula to make your hair feel soft and silky. In order for your hair to feel that way, the ingredients must remain on your hair after you rinse out the shampoo. That's called residue or build-up. The next time you wash your hair, you deposit more residue. Eventually, your hair starts to droop under the weight of this build-up and can look dull and even dry.
