 A retired superbeing gets recruited to teach powers-packing young 'uns at a secret academy to battle a supervillain. Sound familiar? Fox and Marvel Comics thought the plot was so close to X-Men's that they filed a suit last June; it was withdrawn after filmmakers tweaked the script.
'You have no idea how many times they'd come to us and say 'You can't do this. You can't wear sunglasses, because Cyclops does,''' recalls Allen, who plays ex-superhero Captain Zoom and promises a Galaxy Quest edge. ''We're not competing against X-Men. Zoom is obviously a satire.'' (August 11)
