Just My Luck
|
![]() ![]() ''The luckiest woman in the world [Lohan] meets the unluckiest man in the world [Pine], and they exchange a kiss,'' says producer Arnold Rifkin (The Whole Ten Yards). ''The next minute, they've reversed roles.''
![]() The original script, titled Lady Luck, was intended for an older professional, ''someone who had really lived life and suffered,'' reveals Rifkin. Several drafts and a title change later, a lighter, younger-skewing Just My Luck may be the vehicle to ease the 19-year-old Lohan, who here plays a New York career woman, out of the tween genre.
![]() ''She's a young lady, as opposed to a bubbly teenager,'' says Rifkin. ''I don't believe there was another piece of material that could have provided this transition for her the way that this did.'' (May 12)
