 Mahima Chaudhary's Beauty Secrets"I have a dry skin. As soon as I get up in the morning, I wash my face and apply moisturiser. I don't do much make-up except for using kaajal and lipstick. I think lots of sleep, lots of water and the fact that I follow a vegetarian diet helps in keeping my skin clean. I keep changing my moisturiser and use different cleansers for my eyes and face."
Mahima's fashion must haves: Must haves: In western wear, I definitely need to have a pair of well fitted blue jeans. A pair of cargos is also a must. The colours of my cargo could range between khaki, maroon and grey.
An ethnic outfit, may be a sari or a salwar kameez, are also a must have. Most comfortable in: I am most comfortable in my cargos. If I can combine them with a cap, I am in the highest comfort zone because it protects my hair and my skin. I think Diesel makes great cargos that fit rather well.
Evening wear: Jeans are normally a must for me in the evening. I like wearing jeans with a smart kurti or a nice top. I am also quite fond of short skirts. I could combine it with a full sleeves blouse. Footwear would have to be stilettoes.
Favourite dress: I have a really pretty black dress that has motifs on top. Although its not an Indian dress, the motifs give the ethnic Indian feel to it. Read More

Remembered for her role as a village belle in the movie Pardes, Mahima Chaudhary has come a long way. From her media-centric relationship with Leander Paes, to her low-profile wedding in L.A, she has had her share of lows and highs. Though this time around she is playing it safe and we must say she is back with a glow!

 Career MilestonesMahima Chaudhry was a model before she became an actress. She was overshadowed by Aishwarya Rai in a Pepsi commercial. Her first breakthrough performance where she won rave reviews was Pardes (1997) as Ganga, the love interest of two men, Shahrukh Khan and Apoorva Agnihotri. She was chosen to be the female lead among 3000 applicants who auditioned for Pardes (1997). Her career was launched by Subhash Ghai who launched the career of Madhuri Dixit and Manisha Koirala.
She changed her name from Ritu Chaudhry to Mahima Chaudhry since Subhash Ghai has a superstitious belief of launching big careers with actresses whose name start with M. She won rave review for her first performance in Pardes (1997) as a village girl who still values her cultures. Unlike most top actresses in India, she didn't mind playing second fiddle in films (example: Dhadkan (2000), Dil Kya Kare (1999)). Apart from her role in Pardes (1997), she also won acclaims on her role as Kavita, the loving wife of Ajay Devgan in Dil Kya Kare (1999). She was nominated in Filmfare Awards for that role.
