 Juhi ready for challenging roles
Juhi Chawla who has already worked in 80 films in her 20 years' filmi career, has always been described bestowed titles of 'Smile- smile Girl' and 'Everybody's Darling', has indeed been very popular among her admirers. Fortunately, she has never been involved in any scandal or an affair with any star despite her 20 years in this career. When she liked someone, she married him quietly. Haven't you quit films?
I had completed all my assignments before delivering a child. After the delivery of my child, I got busy in looking after my baby.
How do you manage to shoulder all such responsibilities?
This is all due to my in-laws who have been very cooperative. They never asked me to quit films.
What type of movies would you do now after motherhood?
I am no more capable of doing romantic movies. There is a rush of new girls for these roles. I would love to do roles of a bhabhi (sister-in-law) and a mother at my age now. I would play only challenging roles suiting my age.
Don't you want to follow your contemporaries doing offbeat films?
I am not averse to doing offbeat films. However, I do not want to do rape scenes or those depicting physical abuse of women. But I don't mind doing challenging roles, suiting my personality.
Would you like to do negative roles?
Yes, why not. I enjoy doing such roles. I did a negative role in 'Arjun Pandit'. Though it was not completely negative. Still I enjoyed it. Thereafter nobody offered me such a role.
Is it that the directors don't give you negative roles because of your positive image?
Maybe, you are right. However, I will do my best in negative roles too, and will pass any test of my directors. I want to do different types of roles and quit my present image. . I have learnt a lot. Now I can make an experiment with my career. I am sure my viewers will like it, and so will the directors and the producers continue to repose their faith in me.
