Alexs Stadermann started his career in Germany as an animator for Linda Film and MS Film. He subsequently became an SFX animator for Steven Spielberg's Amblimation in London, working on feature films including “An American Tale II,” “We're Back” and “Balto.” At Walt Disney Animation Australia, Stadermann was character & SFX animator for “Darkwing Duck,” “Goof Troop” and the television series “Aladdin,” before becoming SFX supervisor for “A Goofy Movie,” “The Return of Jafar,” “Beauty & the Beast: An Enchanted Christmas” and “The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.” He later served as senior character animator on “An Extremely Goofy Movie,” “The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea,” “Lady & the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure,” “Return to Never Land” and “Jungle Book 2.” He was the animation character lead for Timon in “Lion King 1 ½ : Hakuna Matata.” In 2003, Stadermann directed his first animated film for Disney, “Tarzan 2.”
