Free Dating Advice for Secure & Fun Dating
Dating can be fun. The best part about dating is that you have the perfect excuse to plan interesting outings.
'Just being 'sexy' can't take you too far…

She might be a dashing Deol, but Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s daughter hasn’t used the ‘D’ tag to her advantage. Gifted with Dad’s charisma and Mom’s elegance, she flaunts a daunting attitude that she calls her very own. Esha Deol’s own style. She doesn’t twitch an eyelid while paying someone a compliment, even if it’s herself she’s talking about. At the same time, she fields criticism like she guards the basket in her favourite game: basketball. Ask her about the sexy Sushmita Sen and she says, “I wish I had some scenes with her in ‘Main Aisa Hi Hoon’.

Sadly, I don’t have any. I missed an opportunity to work with her in ‘Vaastu Shastra’ - I didn’t do the film due to date problems. I think Sush is amazing. She’s so hot, and she’s like this absolute diva! I love the way she carries herself, too.” Interesting...after all, one rarely gets a chance to hear one actress going gung-ho about another.

Her rapport with her male co-stars (and, yes, she’s had share of link-ups, too) is like that between back-patting buddies. In fact, given her penchant for sports and her new passion for exercise, her co-stars treat her like ‘one of the boys’. But strangely, Esha has no problems with that. “I love games and sports. As I child, I used to be tomboyish, too. I hit it off very well with my co-actors, so naturally they treat me like one of them. Zayed, Vivek, John... we’ve all had a blast together! Doesn’t it make work so much more fun?” quips the gal.

And what about women - does she get along as famously with her female co-stars?

“C’mon, I don’t see why people make such a big issue about actresses trying to rip apart each other. That doesn’t happen, you know! Lara and I got along really well while shooting for ‘Kaal’; Celina and me were like a house on fire during ‘No Entry’. We’re as cool as the boys, I’m telling you,” Esha explains.

Hottie John Abraham and she catapulted to a different level with ‘Dhoom’. Does Esha still exchange notes with him these days?

“I’m so happy for John - we were all sailing in the same boat, and post ‘Dhoom’, we both jumped into our own bay. It’s good to see a co-star doing well for himself. I wish he goes only up and up from here.”

Surely this Deol is also on her way up? But one hasn’t seen her in a solo-heroine project in a very long time..

Bluntly Esha replies, “I had no choice but to sign the films I signed. Multi-starrers came my way, so I did those. I sat at home for eight months refusing to sign what I was getting; yet, after that, I got this to do. All I can say is that with whatever I was getting, I picked the best. Honestly, I am not satisfied as an artiste with what was offered, I don’t want to name any films or filmmakers at this point, but I enjoyed doing some films and some haven’t left the best taste in my mind, but one has to learn and maintain a creative balance. Sometimes you also land up doing a film as a favour or simply to respect old relationships. I’ve signed a few solo projects now. You have to work hard in this industry; there are so many people here, that it isn’t easy at all. I’m still rolling!”

Talk to her about the rush-brigade of sex sirens, and her own sex appeal, and she flings another surprise at you: “I don’t know why people are calling me ‘sexy, or what my sex appeal is - that’s a tough one to answer. I would say my sex appeal lies in the fact that I haven’t lost my innocence yet. Almost every actress today wears the ‘sexy’ tag, but at the same time, they have to be good actors to survive. Being just ‘sexy’ can’t take you too far.”
