Sandstorm appears on the fourth studio album by Italian disco duo La Bionda. The music of the 10:06 long song, published in 1978, was composed by Michelangelo La Bionda, Carmelo La Bionda, Richard Palmer-James and Charly Ricanek. This album, produced by Carmelo La Bionda, was released by Baby Records. Other songs of the album were “There for Me”, “One for You, One for Me”, “Hey Woman” and “Song for Smokey and the Bandit”.
There’s a nice exotic feel on Sandstorm, complete with Eastern-styled strings – and a few cuts also feature some nice moogy bits too. Playful Italian disco from the 70s – done with a few cheesy touches, including the “harem” cover on the record – but also featuring some nice longer tracks that have better instrumental passages.
