Instagram model Natalie Schlater’s vacation to the famous island shared a pose, led to the closure of the account.
Swedish Instagram phenomenon Natalie Schlater posed in a bikini in front of a rice field on the tourist island of Bali, Indonesia. In the background of the photo was a peasant working in the field.
Under the photo, Natalie Schlater wrote, “I think of the difference between my life and the man who collects rice every morning from the field.”
This statement and the square in question sparked a huge debate among the 12,000 followers of the Instagram model. Much of the followers blamed her; “She was narcissistic, insensitive, and the most arrogant person they had ever seen.”
In her latest post, she used expressions praising the Indonesians, but she did not calm them. After the social media discussions Natalie Schlater decided to close her Instagram account.
