First picture from the film adaptation of West Side Story was released. The film is directed by Steven Spielberg. Tony and Maria, the main characters of the film will be starring by Tony Ansel and Rachel Zegler, respectively.
Rita Moreno, who won an Oscar for the role of Anita in the 1961 adaptation of the West Side Story, will be revealed with her new character Valentina. Valentina will be the owner of the store where Tony works. In the 1961 production, the owner was Doc. Rita Moreno is also the executive producer of the project.
Tony candidate Mike Faist will play the character of the Jets leader Riff. The rest of the gang will give life to Ezra Menas (Anybodys), Ben Cook (Mouthpiece), Sean Harrison Jones (Action) and Patrick Higgins (Baby John).
