TREFOR PROUD's (Makeup and Hair Designer) great versatility has seen him work on films and TV dramas set across modern day, the past, present and fantasy. As part of the key makeup team on Mike Leigh's Topsey Turvey Trefor was awarded the Oscar and BAFTA for Best Makeup in 2000. Trefor has worked with prosthetics in such films as Bent starring Sir Ian McKellan and on Len Wiseman's Underworld, which included vampires and werewolves. He also worked with Kate Beckinsale on the Merchant Ivory period adaptation, The Golden Bowl. His other films include Ridley Scott's Gladiator, Marcus Adams' Octane, Norman Jewison's The Statement, Dead Fish starring Gary Oldman, Mike Nichols' Closer, and the acclaimed BBC TV drama Fingersmith. Trefor's latest film is Copying Beethoven starring Diane Kruger and Ed Harris.
