STEVEN ZAILLIAN (Screenplay by) won an Academy Award® for his screenplay for Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List. Among his other screenwriting credits are John Schlesinger's The Falcon and the Snowman, Penny Marshall's Awakenings (for which he received his first Oscar® nomination), Searching for Bobby Fischer (which Zaillian also directed), Marshall Hershkovitz's Jack the Bear, Philip Noyce's Clear and Present Danger, A Civil Action (another directorial effort) and Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York (his third Academy Award® nomination). Zaillian has recently written the screenplays for two Ridley Scott films, Hannibal and Black Hawk Down.  He will next direct his screenplay of All the King's Men, starring Sean Penn.
