CAROLINE HANANIA (Production Designer) has worked as a production designer both in the United States and Europe for almost 20 years. She has been director Peter Chelsom's designer of choice on all of his films, including “Hear My Song,” “Funny Bones,” “The Mighty,” “Town and Country,” “Serendipity,” and his new film, “Shall We Dance?”.  Hanania's long list of film credits also includes “Paper Mask,” “Wild West,” “Moll Flanders,” “L.A. Without a Map,” “Auggie Rose,” and “Anita and Me.” She most recently designed the Hallmark television movie “The Five People You Meet in Heaven.”

Born in Lebanon and educated in England, Hanania also studied fine art at the Academia di Belle Arti in Rome, Italy. There she spent a year working as assistant to famed surrealist artist Mayo. She completed her BA degree at Camberwell School of Art in London, before starting her design career in the London theatre, spending three years as resident designer with the Common Stock Theatre Company.  She segued to the film industry working with Andrew McAlpine as an art director on such films as “The House,” “High Season,” “Sid and Nancy” and “Straight to Hell.”
