She recently made her feature film-acting debut in the Japanese language film, Mizu ni sumu hana for director Kenji Goto and will next star in the upcoming drama, Mamiya kyoudai, for director Yoshimitsu Morita. Kitagawa is simultaneously learning English whela filming her role in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, her first English-language film.
