RYAN PHILLIPPE (Brandon King), as actor, writer and producer, has established himself as one of Hollywood’s most versatile talents. Recently, he starred in Clint Eastwood’s “Flags of Our Fathers” and was part of Paul Haggis’ acclaimed, controversial, Oscar®-winning ensemble “Crash.” Other recent films include Billy Ray’s Breach co-starring Chris Cooper, based on the true story of an upstart FBI agent’s power game with mole Robert Hanssen.
Phillippe’s numerous and diverse roles began with “White Squall” directed by Ridley Scott. In his early films, Phillippe worked with many exceptional actors and directors on such projects as “Little Boy Blue” opposite Nastassja Kinski, Gregg Araki’s “Nowhere,” the third in the director’s controversial trilogy, “Homegrown” with Billy Bob Thornton and “Playing by Heart” with the ensemble cast that included Sean Connery, Angelina Jolie and Gena Rowlands.
Starring roles soon followed, such as the boxoffice hits “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and “Cruel Intentions.” In addition, Phillippe starred in Robert Altman’s Oscar®-nominated film “Gosford Park,” the drama “54” with Mike Myers, “Igby Goes Down” with Susan Sarandon and Kieran Culkin, “Antitrust” co-starring Tim Robbins, “Company Man” opposite Sigourney Weaver, “The Way of the Gun” with Benicio del Toro and “The I Inside.”
Next up for Phillippe is a starring role in “Franklyn.
