Cabrini tells the true story of Francesca Cabrini whose fight for the equality, health, and happiness of immigrant orphans. The plot of the movie Cabrini, which is planned to be released on March 8, International Women’s Day, is briefly as follows:

When Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini steps foot in America in 1889, she is greeted by disease, crime, and impoverished children living in New York’s slums. Armed with a fearless spirit and a compassionate heart, Cabrini sets off on a daring mission to convince the hostile mayor to secure housing and healthcare for society’s most vulnerable. Despite broken English and poor health, Cabrini leverages her entrepreneurial mind to build an empire of hope unlike anything the world had ever seen.

Cabrini is an independent historical drama film directed by Alejandro Monteverde and starring Cristiana Dell’Anna, David Morse, John Lithgow, Giancarlo Giannini, Patch Darragh, Romana Maggiora Vergano, Sean Cullen, Lukas Behnken, Katherine Boecher, Federico Ielapi and Virginia Bocelli. The screenplay was written by Rod Barr. The film was released on March 8, 2024 in the United States by Angel Studios.
