Reincarnation: Migration of the soul leaving the body

Reincarnation: Migration of the soul leaving the body

Reincarnation is known as the most different concept of the period from the past to the present. It is a phenomenon that does not fall into the languages that are the subject of TV series, movies and many other fields. While some people live their lives with this concept, some people have only heard the word reincarnation once or twice. Is the event that managed to be the subject of even Cem Yılmaz’s stand-up shows, is it really a laughable phenomenon or is it a part of our lives?

When we define it briefly, reincarnation means soul transmigration. It may seem absurd to non-believers or people who are not very close to the concept. However, the number of people who believe in reincarnation in the world is not to be underestimated. So what is reincarnation? How does it reveal itself? How do religions see reincarnation? Is there any truth to it?

What is Reincarnation?

In reincarnation, it is believed that the body will come back after death.

It is the name given to the event of being born with a new body by experiencing a kind of soul migration after death. This name is usually given by the spiritualists. You may think that the resurrection also exists in the religion of Islam. However, rebirth here is not on the Day of Judgment, but the event of coming to the same world again.

Let’s open a parenthesis to spiritualists. The meaning of the word spiritualis has been explained as spiritism. It is a concept that has a place in many religions and philosophical views. People who have a religion or a different view use the name spiritualist among themselves. Spiritualists accept a spiritual soul event.

Reincarnation: Migration of the soul leaving the body

Reincarnation is not actually a new concept.

Even though it was not used as a concept in ancient times, it was known before today. Even when we delve into our own history, it was possible to see this in Turkish societies that were not acquainted with Islam. In the period when monotheistic belief was widespread, it was believed in transmigration.

The idea that he would resurrect and return after death was quite common. Even dead people were buried with their belongings. It was believed that when the rebirth event took place, his belongings would come with him. While this is the case in our land, we can say that the incident goes back even further.

Let us take you back to the ancient Egyptian period. The belief in resurrection was widespread during the period when the pharaohs were in the middle of nowhere. The concept of rebirth after death was a common concept in Egyptian times. They buried the dead of the period by embalming. If the body came to life again, this practice was done so that it would come out intact.

When we look at the history approaching today, the West heard the concept for the first time thanks to Greek mythology. Known names of philosophical movements such as Plato and Pythagoras discussed the subject at that time. When we sail further east to Asian countries, reincarnation is associated with the concept of reincarnation in the religions here. It is particularly common in the Indian region. Today, the number of people who believe in the concept of transmigration exceeds 1 billion. In short, reincarnation takes place in every era and every religion.

The concepts of reincarnation and Islam are also highly associated with each other.

When we look at Islam, we see that there are sections that fall into different divisions. Most of us know that there is a resurrection in Islam. Reincarnation and resurrection have a place in Islam. However, it is common belief that the resurrected person will only be on the Day of Judgment. Your resurrection is not just once and for the world.

Although there is a resurrection according to Islam, the biggest difference from the reincarnation event is that the body will regain its former state on the Day of Judgment. In reincarnation, on the other hand, there is a possibility that the resurrection will happen to the world and that this event may happen several times. It is also believed that the deceased will be reborn in another body in this phenomenon. When we look at it as a belief, transmigration takes place differently in every religion. We can say that people look quite different even in their beliefs. We can see that the number of people who believe in transmigration, whether in the west or east, is quite high.

Reincarnation Examples

Believe it or not, there are examples of reincarnation in the world. The events, known as true stories, almost resemble horror movies. Among the examples of reincarnation, there is also one from Turkey. We wanted to start the example with the Pollock twins first. It is known worldwide as the most familiar reincarnation event.

The event took place in 1957. The twin brothers have a traffic accident on May 5, 1957 and cannot survive this accident. The family grieves deeply for the couple’s daughters. But the real event begins a year later. The couple gives birth to two sisters again exactly one year later. Interestingly, things start to come in advance. The newly born twin brothers also bear the traces of the dead girls. The family is quite surprised by the situation. Then they want to leave the house they live in. Even though they left the house, the mysterious events did not leave them behind.

When their newborn daughters reach the age of 2, they begin to make the same demands as their dead daughters. They wanted the toys that the twins, who died in the traffic accident, played with. Not only that, they gave the same names to the toys. The couple decides to return from the situation to the house and place where the event took place. When they returned to their old homes, the event turned out to be more complicated than expected. The newborn twins began to remember everything the deceased girls had gone through. They even think that they will experience a traffic accident. This event continued until the age of 5 years. Afterwards, the twins continued their normal lives. It is the largest known reincarnation event in history.

Another event related to reincarnation took place in 1990 in India. The event, in which a boy named Titu took the lead, ended in a different way. When Titu was only 2.5 years old, he started to give information about his whole life and what he remembers. Although the family does not show much importance at first, then there is the seriousness of the event.

Titu shared many facts with his family until he was killed. Titu’s older brother went to the area to investigate the incident and encountered incredible facts. The most interesting part of the story is that the boy who died earlier remembers clues about how he died. Thanks to the clues he gave, the case was reopened and the culprit was caught.
