She encouraged her boyfriend to commit suicide releases early

Michelle Carter, who dragged her boyfriend to suicide with short messages in the US, will be released early despite the rejection of the board.

Michelle Carter, who was accused of causing death by encouraging her boyfriend Conrad Roy, who was one year younger than her when she was 18, in Boston, USA, was denied parole but early release.

Roy and Carter, who met their families during their holiday in 2012, continued their relationship by meeting only 5 times face-to-face for two years. Both of the couples who had a relationship with their online messages had clinical depression. They were said to have attempted to commit suicide and kill each other from time to time.

Michelle Carter sent messages encouraging Roy, who was already suicidal. In 2014, Carter told his lawyers that he had suffered from anorexia, bulimia and depression during this period. In one of his messages to Roy shortly before his suicide, he had suggested that he enter a “truck full of toxic gas.”

Shortly after this message, Roy was found dead in a vehicle and committed suicide with exhaust gas. Carter tried on charges of suicide by writing to her boyfriend Roy, “Drink bleach. Why don’t you bleach? Hang yourself. Jump from the top of a building, stab yourself. There are too many options.” Carter also said, ’You have to do this, Conrad, minutes before Roy tried to commit suicide. All you have to do is start the generator. Then you will be free and happy ”

The court found Carter guilty of sending messages to her lover to kill her several times. Carter gets two and a half years sentence in prison. In May 2020, he was due. But without waiting for this, he requested a parole. The board said, “In addition to encouraging Conrad Roy to commit suicide, Carter prevented others from intervening.”

The young girl’s parole offer was rejected by Massachusetts authorities this week, but her release was withdrawn from May 5, 2020 to March 13, 2020, for her services in prison. Carter had been a ‘model prisoner’ in nearly half of her term, participating in prison training and performing his service duties. Her services gave her a 10-day penalty discount.
