Why we get stucked in the past?

Why we get stucked in the past?

Almost all of us often get stucked in the past. We are aware that stuck to past events is in fact an unnecessary situation and that we miss life as we get stuck in it. But we still turn around and see this torment. What kind of a game of our minds can draw us back to the past and what do you think would benefit us?

Imagine how boring and unbearable we would have been if we had seen the same negative things and had the same feelings every time we returned to the past. For example, imagine a movie and imagine that we open and watch it every day. We always got so tired of watching the same movie that we unplugged the television or computer and turned it off sooner or later. But the film of the past is constantly playing in different versions of our minds in movie theaters, and we cannot leave the film.

Why we get stucked in the past?

For example, we watch the past dubbed in Turkish. The characters speak Turkish, and we think that we haven’t missed a single word. Whatever we have said in the past, whatever others have said, this is a one-to-one version. But then we open the same movie again, and this time the subtitles come into play. “He told me that, and I answered him, bit the question ended,“ he said that to me, but I think he meant, not what he was saying, he meant something else, for sure,” begins.

In other words, this is a past reading of intentions. Missed messages, missed opportunities, regrets that we regret for not being able to change the course of events completely in our favor comes into play. Then we start the film again and this time we see that the time is prolonged.
