Award-winning cinematographer EIGIL BRYLD has worked across film and television after cutting his teeth on commercials, which included adverts for Volkswagen and Audi A2. He has also worked on documentaries including Arena: Jayne Mansfield for the BBC and The Kind Face of Death for Klondike Films, prior to a collaboration with Julian Jarrold on the acclaimed television drama Crime and Punishment.
The Danish director of photography has seen a number of his films win awards, including the FIPRESCI Award at San Sebastian for Anders Ronnow Klarlund's The Eighteenth and a BAFTA Award for Best Photography (factual) for Wisconsin Death Trip. Eigil has worked with a number of European directors including Mike Barker on To Kill A King, Hella Joof on Oh Happy Day, Reza Parsa on Before the Storm and most recently again with James Marsh on eagerly anticipated The King, starring Gael Gacia Bernal.
