Which type of songs do you have in your album?
It is like a rainbow. There are every colors. But it has also an integrity in it. I think it is a world-album. There are everything which makes me myself.
So, what are these things which make you yourself?
My devotion to life and my passion for it. My love for music…I have an endless fire inside of me, and when I'm in the concert hall, it comes out as dance. I like to provoke, it is in my nature. My songs are my connections with my audience so the lyrics are really important for me.
When will we listen to your Turkish album?
I have begun it. I'm in the writing stage, I mean I'm writing the lyrics. But I cannot be relaxed till the release of the English album. Apart from this, I'm talking with Sezen. And we may have surprises for you.
So, did you make it up with Sezen?
We were not offended, we always had a good relationship. She is my queen. We had just a small problem during the Sımarık song. I was very stubborn and got angry. But I always know that we love each other.
When did you talk to her?
Last year. We talked and solved our problem. Then we gave a hug and listened our songs. I know, the harmony between us will never die. I was a child at those times. When Sıkıdım released, every one thought that I would be nothing if there wasn't Sezen. But I didn't believe in it. Maybe that's why I put my and Ozan's name under the song Sımarık. Because we also worked hard for it. But of course it was her song. And this made her angry. She was right. I understood it after long years. But everything is all right now. I miss to sing her songs.
You withdraw yourself from everything for 4 years and we just see you at the airports. Why did you close your doors to the world?
I'm fed up with being misunderstood. When I make an interview, they just want to understand what they want to hear. It is just a protest. Moreover, people do everything to cause a sensation during an interview. For example, they don't ask me questions about music. I have a timidity towards the Turkish media. In Europe or America, I'm very comfortable because people are just interested in your job. There, they just try to understand me, not to hurt me.
I think that you imprison yourself between the walls. Are you happy?
Once upon a time, I was always in the outside, I wen to the famous pubs,etc. Yes, in the last years, I close my doors to that world. I wasn't like this before. But this approach is not for Turkey, I'm also like this in America. Last night we went out and when I returned to my house, I swored not to go to the places like that. Wherever I go, people just act, they are not themselves. It is a life with full of lies. Some people try to hurt me. Then I just want to run away, just want to got to my house.
