Saving Motives & Strategies
Tagline: Death walks behind. Hell waits ahead.
The sequel to "House of 1000 Corpses" centers on a band of bounty hunters led by Sheriff Wydell's brother who is fueled by revenge when he finds out that his kin was slain by the Firefly family. The film will pick up shortly after the first with the Firefly clan going on the road after their house is burned down and a few family members have been gunned down during a police raid.
The unthinkable horror and chaos continues a few weeks after the events depicted in "House of 1000 Corpses," as this film's focus shifts to a conflict between the various evil family members of the first movie and a new set of murderous loonies, in a blood-soaked road movie.
With two gangs of bloodthirsty body-mutilation enthusiasts set loose at each other's necks, who will emerge victorious? The conflict starts when the 'house of 1000 corpses' is raided by a S.W.A.T. team, where the events of the first film are discovered in all of their horror. As the maniacs the media dubs "The Devil's Rejects" flee the scene of the many, many crimes as their house burns down, they take off on a bloody road trip...
Sheri Moon Zombie (as Baby), Sid Haig (as Capt. Spaulding) and Bill Moseley (as Otis Driftwood) in The Devil's Rejects.
From the visionary mind of acclaimed musician Rob Zombie comes Lions Gate Films’ The Devil's Rejects, the gritty, violent follow-up to Zombie’s smash horror hit, House of 1000 Corpses. Written and directed by Zombie, The Devil's Rejects reunites the homicidal members of the Firefly family, tracing their bloody flight from an outlaw sheriff hell-bent on revenge…
Ambushed at their isolated home by Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe) and a squad of armed men, the Firefly family wakes up one morning with guns blazing -- yet only Otis (Bill Moseley) and his sister, Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), manage to escape the barrage of bullets unharmed. Hiding out in a backwater motel, the wanted siblings wait to rendezvous with their errant father, Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), killing whoever happens to stand in their way. But as the body count mounts higher, Sheriff Wydell decides to take the law into his own hands, paving the way for one of the most depraved and terrifying showdowns in cinematic history.
Deftly blending traditional horror with macabre humor and suspense, The Devil's Rejects is a shocking portrait of outlaw violence, from one of horror cinema’s most original directors.
Writer / Director Rob Zombie created a bizarre cult hit with his debut horror feature, House of 1000 Corpses. The film introduced audiences to the eccentric Firefly family, a group of viciously brutal, red-neck psychopaths who deal in wholesale murder and mayhem.
