TOM DUFFIELD

After starting his career as an architect, TOM DUFFIELD (Production Designer, Art Director) soon discovered that his true calling was film design and art direction. Working his way up through the art department ranks on classic films including “Bladerunner,” he teamed with production designer Bo Welch in 1986. Duffield served as Welch's art director on fifteen films, three of which were nominated for Academy Awards in art direction: “A Little Princess,” “Men In Black” and “The Birdcage.”
Duffield's first film as production designer was Tim Burton's critically acclaimed biopic “Ed Wood.” More recently, he designed Gore Verbinski's thriller hit “The Ring” and Peter Berg's action comedy “The Rundown.”
