Let's start making Italian snack gnocco fritto together

Gnocco fritto is an Italian snack that you can’t get enough of… It’s delicious with its salty and crispy fried dough and veal ham. Now let’s go to the kitchen and start making this very easy snack.

How to make Gnocco fritto

Melt the butter lightly in the sauce pan.
Add flour, salt, butter, yeast, milk and sugar and mix well.
Place the dough in a clean bowl and cover it with stretch film.
Leave the dough to ferment at room temperature for two hours.
Lightly sprinkle flour on your counter and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to a thickness of approximately 3 mm.
Using a pizza wheel or knife, cut the dough into thick squares about 6 cm wide.
Heat the oil in a separate pan.
Fry the dough in small pieces until puffy and golden.
Your gnocco fritto is ready.
You can serve it with veal ham, cream cheese and fresh mint.

Half a teaspoon of fine salt
250 ml whole milk (at room temperature)
