Our galaxy may be full of civilizations that destroyed

Our galaxy. There are 40 billion Earth-like planets in the universe. However, there is still no evidence proving that there is life outside the Earth. A new theory has been put forward on the subject.

A new claim has come to the fore to explain why the first contact with an extraterrestrial civilization has not yet occurred. Scientists claimed that the Milky Way Galaxy is full of civilizations that destroyed it.

According to the news in the Independent, an article written by three physicists from the California Institute of Technology suggests that most of the civilizations that lived in the Milky Way 5 billion years ago, when civilizations peaked, destroyed themselves.

It is estimated that variables such as nuclear holocaust or climate change are among the reasons why extraterrestrial civilizations destroy themselves.

Modeling the evolution of the Milky Way over time, scientists determined that the theoretical probability of life emerging peaks about 13 thousand light-years from the galactic center and 8 billion years after the galaxy formed.

Our planet is located approximately 25 thousand light years away from the galactic center, and human civilization emerged approximately 13.5 billion years after the formation of the Milky Way.

In other words, theoretically, the first civilization in the Milky Way began 5.5 billion years before the one on our planet. The fact that no trace of this civilization can be found forms the basis of the theory in question.
