Visiting the highlights of Paris in just four days

Visiting the highlights of Paris in just four days

This is an invitation letter. Invitation to Paris, the capital of France… We have compiled what we did in Paris, where we went to celebrate my birthday last winter, to share with you. And of course we had a lot of fun, now it’s your turn, so we prepared a guide.

Now let’s have fun together at Disneyland, let’s leave ourselves to the romance of the Eiffel Tower, let’s be impressed by the magnificence of the Louvre Museum. Without making you impatient, let’s share what we did and what we saw during our four-day Paris getaway.

Eiffel’s location is more important than Paris

Of course, we couldn’t start our trip without seeing the Eiffel. We should have enjoyed the romance of the place. Eiffel, which is 128 years old, is exactly 324 meters. If you want to reach the top of the tower, you have to climb 1,665 steps. Just kidding, there’s an elevator now.

Inside the tower is a very elegant restaurant, Jules Verne Restaurant (Restaurant le Jules Verne). In addition to the romantic stance of the Eiffel Tower, you can take the romance to its peak by dining at this restaurant. It is also fascinating with its lighting in the evenings. Although many travelers say that it is a “heap of iron”, it is undeniable that everyone wants to go to the Eiffel Tower at least once.

Louvre Museum: A Masterpiece in its own

Another indispensable stop was the Louvre. The Louvre Museum, one of the largest museums not only in Paris but also in the world, has both the world’s most valuable historical art collection and one of the largest palaces in Paris. From the glass pyramid in front of the museum’s main entrance. In the museum, which includes French paintings and sculptures, Italian paintings and sculptures, Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greek collections, the piece that will attract your attention the most is the Mona Lisa painting. You can see the mysterious smile of the Mona Lisa on the spot. Taking photos is also prohibited.

Paris’ Corner of Eden: Tuileries Garden

Another stop is the Tuileries Garden, a paradise in Paris. The address where you will find peace and will take you to a different world. You can sit on the green chairs surrounding the pool in the park and breathe the peace to your heart’s content. You will see plenty of people reading, stretching, watching the scenery and chatting. The calmness in the environment will take you away. Especially if the weather is nice…

Imagine listening to Paris emerging behind the trees in a green field under the deep blue sky. Even while listening, you must have stepped into other geographies. There are many nice cafes on the tree-lined walkway, ideal for a snack. This is the old garden of the Tuileries Palace. Unfortunately, its real owner was destroyed during the Paris Commune. Both for this reason and because it is close to the Louvre Palace, you can perceive it as the garden of the Louvre Palace. We recommend you to walk around the garden step by step. After the buildings and the crowd, it will be very good for your soul.

Disneyland: Release your inner child

Another stop is Disneyland. It was also the 30th birthday celebration for me, where I was as cheerful as children. Even a colorful castle that greets you at the entrance is enough to make you quiver. Is it inside? It is indescribable, but let’s explain it briefly. Even though there is a cost to spend time in such a magical atmosphere, you can get discounted tickets if you follow the campaigns. There is free admission on his birthday. What a beautiful gift!

There are many shops and Sleeping Beauty’s castle at the entrance of the park, which has 5 sections. Also, if you don’t want to walk the whole park, you can visit the whole park by train departing from here. Other sections are Discoveryland, where you can experience space-themed adventures, Fantasyland, mostly for guests with children, Adventureland with adventurous characters such as Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean, and Frontierland, where the wild west winds blow. When you go to Disneyland, be sure to finish the day there and witness the cartoon feast and fireworks display on the Disneyland Tower every evening.

Mustard effect on antrikot; Le Relais de l’Entrecôte

Aren’t we hungry? Then let’s go to Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, the famous entrecote restaurant in Paris. In the restaurant that has the standard menu, lettuce salad with walnuts with balsamic sauce, heaped french fries and entrecote with paris sauce at the cafe. Along with it, wine… Undoubtedly, the most delicious meat you will ever eat is here. We think the secret is in the sauce, but the recipe for the sauce is kept a secret. The information we received from the waiters who served you like your mother, is that it contains olive oil and mustard. But they didn’t say the rest of course…

Pompidou Center surprising with its exterior architecture

One of the must-see places in Paris is the Pompidou Centre. You might be a little surprised when you see it. This place has a very different and dynamic architecture than the museum buildings we are used to. The Pompidou Center, designed by famous architects Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano, has exhibition areas, a library, a cinema, a restaurant and a viewing area. There was a long queue in front of it when we went. Families take their children and spend their Sundays here. While the children spend time in the workshop, the adults also visit the museum. What a busy weekend!

Père Laichaise Cemetery: As shocking as it is fascinating

Visiting a cemetery has never been so interesting and fascinating. We’re talking about Paris’s Père Laichaise Cemetery. (Pronounced Lö Per Şalez) Names immortalized with their art, music and literature lie in this cemetery. There are names from all religions and races in this 43-hectare cemetery. Some of the tombs have the lipstick marks of their fans, and some of them have lyrics. A cemetery full of art and experiences.

Who is not among those lying here; Ahmet Kaya and Yılmaz Güney who died in exile, Sadık Hidayet, Jim Morrison, Balzac, Chopin, Édith Piaf, La Fontaine, Molière, Simone Signoret, Oscar Wilde.. Also, the monument erected in memory of the Armenians who died in the French War and the Jews who died in Auschwitz Here are the tombs and the Federeke Walls, built in memory of those shot in the Paris Commune. The fact that there are different tombs will also fascinate and surprise you.

Père Laichaise Cemetery: As shocking ss it is fascinating

We wouldn’t be able to stop by the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, the most famous church in Paris. This church, which commemorates the 58,000 soldiers who died in the war, is a white church located on Monmartre Hill. Since it is the highest place in the city after the Eiffel Tower, you can go up to the church’s dome and be fascinated by the view of Paris.

I looked down on you today, Saint Paris. Inside the basilica, there are statues of Christ, a mosaic of Jesus, bronze statues depicting scenes such as the Last Supper, and equestrian statues symbolizing Jeanne d’Arc and St. Louis. Photographing is prohibited by the way. If they see that you are taking a photo, they warn you first, and if you insist on taking photos, they accompany you to the door.

Shakespeare and Company: A Bookstore to fall in love with

You don’t have to be a bookworm to love this shop. It’s a very sympathetic structure in itself. Many writers such as Ernest Hemingway, Ezra Pound, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein and James Joyce visited the bookstore frequently. James Joyce’s novel Ulysses, which was initially banned in the USA and UK, was first published in this bookstore. Here you can buy, borrow and read books in the cafe section right next to it.

Galeries Lafayette: The Glorious Center of Shopping

For the first time, there was a shopping center abroad that I went to without “buying a garbage”, and this is it. I’m not exaggerating, people feel poor here. Because all brands are too luxurious. When the Euro – TL difference is added to it, hands cannot be put into pockets. This is not a place for shopping, but a must-visit place to see its historical and impressive building. Also, be sure to eat the passion fruit pasta from the macaroni on the bottom floor, whose name we can’t remember.

Boulanger Patissier: Patisserie where we leave our hearts

If you see this patisserie, don’t go out. Eat their eclairs, eat their cakes, they have all kinds of sweets, taste them.

And of course the Champ Elysees

This is the street that the French call the most beautiful boulevard in the world. We think it’s a bit too ambitious to say it’s the most beautiful in the world, but it’s impossible to see it while you’re at it. The street starts from the famous Concorde Square and ends at Charles de Gaulle Square, where the Arc de Triomphe monument is located. There are nice cafes, shops, restaurants on the right and left.

The Giant Arc de Triomphe awaits you at ehe end of the street

The Arc de Triomphe was built during the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte. Bonaparte addressed the victorious French soldiers at the battle of Austerlitz and said, “You will return home under the triumphal arches.” said. Thereupon, he wanted the Triumphal Arch to be built on February 18, 1806. On December 15, 1840, the funeral of Napoleon Bonaparte passed under the Arc de Triomphe. Beneath it is the tomb of the unknown soldier (Tombe Du Soldat Inconnu) for the French soldiers who died in World War I. The flame on the grave has never been extinguished since 1923. Every evening at 18.30, the flame is renewed by the soldiers with a ceremony. If you come across it, you can watch it.

These were our stops on our four-day trip to Paris… We also wandered the side streets a lot. Of course, there are many more places to visit in Paris. In our four days, we tried to travel to the fullest, collect a lot of memories and fulfill all the cliches. And we wanted to convey all this to you. We hope that you have an idea about Paris and that we have rekindled your love for Paris. Have a lot of walking and dusty days.
