Canadian experts warned by giving a date.
The world has not been able to wake up from the coronavirus nightmare for almost two years. On the other hand, we have begun to feel the impact of the climate crisis concretely. And the worst-case scenario for the climate crisis has become clear. Canadian scientists, who gave the date for the nightmare scenario waiting for the world, also announced the uninhabitable regions.
There is a greater danger waiting for our world, which has been struggling with the Coronavirus for nearly two years; Climate Change. Scientists have warned against such an epidemic for years. Unfortunately, we did not listen to them.
Now, we are entering the final turn, so to speak, on Climate Change and Global Warming. The world is now sounding the alarm. While scientists emphasize the importance of nations taking joint steps in this area, the latest research that reveals the dimensions of the danger came from Canada.
Experts at Canada’s McGill University evaluated three potential greenhouse gas reduction scenarios. In the worst-case scenario, if CO2 emissions continue to rise, the Amazon will be barren, the Americas tropical, and India too hot to live. The team underlined that this situation, which will take place in 2500, means that the Earth will become an ‘alien’ planet for humans.
Impossible to live without protective clothing
Because if this scenario happens, it will not be possible to live in these regions without protective clothing, just like astronauts visiting a planet.
Evaluating their results, environmental scientist Christopher Lyon said: “We need to envision the Earth that future generations may encounter, and what we can do now to make it fair and livable for them.”
Stating that even in the best scenario, the ocean levels rise, Lyon continued as follows; ‘If we fail to meet the Paris Agreement targets and emissions continue to rise, it will change dramatically in many parts of the world.’
The world, which has been warned for years about a coronavirus-like epidemic and ignored these warnings, is still suffering. It seems that the fate of our planet will be determined this time by the decision whether to listen to the warnings about climate change or not.
