Google closes 210 YouTube channels on Hong Kong protests

Google has closed 210 YouTube channels on the grounds that they are part of a disinformation campaign on the protest movement in Hong Kong.

The company said that those who manage the YouTube channels are trying to hide their activity centers. Facebook and Twitter had made similar decisions before Google.

Twitter deleted 936 accounts, suspended nearly 200,000 accounts; Facebook “7 pages, 3 groups and 5 accounts” had closed.

Facebook and Twitter accused China’s attutide. China blamed protesters in Hong Kong of trying to discredit China and calling them as “dangerous and extremist.”
