Time to rediscover Sicily in Taormina

Overlooking the peaceful blue of the Mediterranean Sea from Mazzarò Bay, be prepared for surprises for a romantic holiday at Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea.

Built by an aristocratic family in 1830, Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea is one of the most romantic hotels in the town of Taormina in Sicily, with its tropical gardens and a private beach in Mazzarò Bay. In 2010, the Belmond family began a modern transformation process and the hotel is located just three minutes from the city center with its pool against the bay, luxurious cabanas on its private beach and sea-view suites.

One of the innovations in Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea is three private villas inspired by garden and flower scents: Zagara (orange flower), Neroli (bitter orange flower oil) and Gelsomino (jasmine). Suits with impressive decorative details ranging from Sicilian ceramics to vintage film posters indicate that you will have an unforgettable holiday from the very beginning.

For gourmet pleasures

Born and raised in Trapani, northwestern Sicily, chef Agostino D’Angelo is responsible for the in-house Ristorante Oliviero as head chef of Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea. As a member of the Sicilian family, Agostino had the opportunity to experience traditional delicacies by cooking with his grandmother since childhood.

He moved to London in 2012 and worked in many boutique hotels and international restaurants. Agostino, whose cooking philosophy is based on authentic Sicilian ingredients, is inspired by flavors from different cultures, especially Arabs. The menu is based on the season, including handmade risotto, light salads, fresh seafood and cannoli. Ristorante Oliviero offers an all-day and night-time service, where you can enjoy views across the sea from the terrace.
