When you start watching the films of M. 6. The Village
Period thriller “The Village” features a phenomenal cast including Bruce Dallas Howard, Joaquin Phoenix, Adrien Brody and more. Revolving around a village living in fear of the creatures living in the surrounding forest (often referred to as “Those We Don’t Talk About”), the film, of course, has its share of Shyamalan’s twists and moves towards a surprise finale.
7. The Visit
“The Visit” is a horror film supposedly based on found footage and follows two younger siblings living with their single mother. Their grandparents want to find and meet their grandchildren online and invite them to their farmhouse during their mother’s holiday. Striking facts quickly come to the surface and it becomes clear that things are not as they seem. This extremely scary movie is one of Shyamalan’s scariest stories.
8. Knock at the Cabin
“Knock on the Cabin”, Shyamalan’s last film before “Trap”, was released in early 2023 and managed to divide critics. The film, which is not one of the director’s famous flops but still received mixed reviews, is about a couple whose holiday turns into hell when four strangers arrive at their door, and stars Jonathan Groof, Ben Aldridge, Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint.
