A pleasant stroll through the streets of Barcelona

Barcelona is one of the most important places in Europe. Like Paris, Amsterdam, the first choice of tourists to travel to Europa. A city that will appeal to all tastes. Street art on the streets of narrow and sculpture on the vast squares where the streets open! A city that lives with its beautiful museums, fun pubs, shopping facilities, soccer team, beaches and unique dishes.

Although Barcelona is now within the Spanish border, the Barcelonaans call themselves Catalan, not Spanish. Their languages are Catalan. The inhabitants of Catalonia are the ones who make the most money with Spain both tourism and football team, and they are dissatisfied with being highly affected by the crisis in Spain. Spain is the country with the highest unemployment rate.

Unemployment rate is so high, the economic crisis out of this city to the tourists in the most appropriate warning to be made “warning thieves!” It will be. I saw this warning on every blog I read and listened to the stories of my friends who had something stolen in Barcelona. I’ve seen tourist guides in all crowded places warn their teams against thieves. Please fear too, be cautious.

As a precaution I had chosen a very tight bag for myself, I could hardly get my money from my phone. I never left my phone on the table and looked at my left and right; If the phone wasn’t in my hand, it went into my purse, the zipper closed tightly. I held the neck strap of my camera as a small child who was afraid of getting lost in the crowd and grasped his mother’s hand tightly. And victory! I’m here before I have anything stolen!

We have arranged our hotel from booking.com. The area around La Rambla was very expensive for 5 nights and the rooms were very small. We stayed at the Ayre Hotel Gran Via, very close to Plaça Espanya. The room width and comfort was fine. Transportation was very convenient, buses to the metro station and the airport were walking in 2 minutes. The only flaw of the room was facing the inner courtyard, we woke to the darkness every morning because the sun did not enter! I have no right to complain too, maybe they would change our room if we tell the reception but we did not say anything, we agreed to fate. The price of the room was 450 euro in total for 5 nights.

I would love to stay in the El Born area even if it is not on La Rambla, because we stuck there the most. Barcelonata or Bogatell regions can be preferred if I am going to have a sea-oriented holiday in summer. But it was great comfort that our hotel was only a short walk from the airport bus. For El Born or Barceloneta, you will have to take a suitcase or take a taxi in the side streets.

Public transport in Barcelona is highly developed. Metro tickets are also not expensive, when you buy a single ticket 2.15 euro, but we called T-10 more than 10 people can use cards from the boarding. The 10 boarding card was 10.30 euro. Mature and two of us at the end of the trip, we spent 4 of the 10 or something.

If you want to get out of the city in Barcelona or you want to visit the city comfortably you can rent a car from a reliable rent a car company. If you have left the car rental business to the last day, Istanbul Atatürk Airport car rental offices will be there for you.

Whenever you ask to go to Barcelona, you need to know that it has a temperature above the European average. Turkey has a similar climate to the western part. Therefore, it has the potential to be visited in every season. We preferred April, cold and sweating toured. The rain passed tangent to us.

Visiting Barcelona in summer is an advantage and a disadvantage. In summer you will be able to spend time on the beaches and have a sea holiday, you will be chirping around, but you will cook from the heat during the cultural trip! Also in the summer Barcelona is getting crowded. So I thought September was the ideal month. And at the end of September, a festival called La Merce, where they built towers from people, could be nice to come across it.
