Three additional actors have signed on to star alongside Amanda Seyfried in Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment’s new movie ‘Gone,’ including Emily Wickersham, Wes Bentley and Jennifer Carpenter, Collider is reporting. The thriller will be helmed by Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia. The script, which was penned by ‘Fame’ screenwriter Allison Burnett, follows Seyfried’s character, a kidnap survivor, who tries to find the killer she believes abducted her sister.
‘Gone,’ which is believed to jump-start Seyfried’s action career, much like ‘Taken’ did for Liam Neeson in 2009, is set to begin shooting in April 2011. However, there’s no word yet what roles Wickersham (of ‘I Am Number Four’), Bentley (most recently seen in last summer’s ‘Jonah Hex’) and Carpenter (who stars on Showtime’s ‘Dexter’) will play.
Synopsis
“When Jill Parrish (Amanda Seyfried) returns home from the night shift to find her sister’s bed empty, she is convinced that the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. But the police do not believe her and Jill knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, Jill sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.
