Low Carbohydrate Recipes
MEXICAN SAUCE
2 tbs. butter
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup tomato puree, or 1 medium can tomatoes
1 tsp. chilli powder
1 tsp. salt
1. Melt butter, add garlic and onion. Cook until onion is soft.
2. Add tomato puree, chilli powder, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes. If canned tomatoes are used, mash the tomatoes while cooking until mixture has reduced and thickened.
Pour sauce over chillies.
