What do you think about Alpay? He wrote a book and told that the leading character was you.
I didn't read the book. Thank God, I wasn't here at that moment. Because it isn't nice. He wanted some financial help from us, I mean he expected a lot of things. But it was in a threating way so we didn't give a reply to him. Moreover, we said that “ Write whatever you want, cause people know me.” And he replied that he would do it. Now, he is preparing the second book, I think. But, I'm writing a thank-you note for him in this English album.
Despite of the things he wrote for you?
Yes, because at the beginning of my career, he was really helpful. If I hadn't met him, I would have returned to Germany and maybe I would have been working in a factory. Because that time, I got my visa and I was going.He persuaded me. He said, “ Don't go! Let's try since you have a good voice.” I cannot deny what he did for me. I wonder whether he thought that I denied everything, so he wrote all these stuff?
He implied that you are a gay?
Yes, everybody in Turkey implied it.Let me be honest. Sometimes there were times that I couldn't be decisive about myself. I had dilemmas and conflicts. And I was showing it by the clothes I was wearing or by my behaviours.I was trying to find myself. When I look at the past, I saw that it was all about my childhood. I begun to heal my wounds. I have been going to the psychologist for five years and I feel that as if I rebirth again. I give myself to my audience by my songs. Past is past. I never deny anything and I never tell a lie. But everybody has to know that there is a limit. I'm not a gay, I was never a gay. And my relationship with Bilge isn't a lie. I want to put an end to this argument by this interview.
