The number of ugly small and medium-sized cities around the world is so great that it forms a long list. However, the cities mentioned below deserve to enter the top ten as the most unpopular capitals and big cities of the world. These include concrete forests; victims of distorted urbanization and unplanned urbanization. If you live in any of these cities, of course you won’t agree with us; however, these cities, chosen without prejudice, seem quite bad for many reasons, despite the possibility of being great.
1. Guatemala City, Guatemala
This city, where crime is very common, is the capital of the country, which is normally pretty. The city, where most of the buildings appear to be on the verge of collapse, is more like a slum than a capital city.
2. Mexico City, Mexico
Mexico City is known as one of the most dangerous cities in the world. Even if it was a safe haven, it would still not be described as a tempting city. It is one of the most polluted cities in the world and there is almost no area to look at.
3. Amman, Jordan
This capital, home to some of the world’s greatest historical sites, should be the only transit point of your travel route – if you’re not saying I can enjoy dirty, chaotic streets and buildings that seem to be stacked on top of each other.
4. Chisinau, Moldova
Moldova’s capital is literally scratching your eyes. This industrial city is made up of ugly, Soviet-style buildings, often on the verge of decay. There are many antipathic cities in Eastern Europe from the Soviet era; but it is expected to be a bit more sympathetic than a capital.
5. Caracas, Venezuela
Venezuela is known for its incredible success in international beauty contests; Venezuelan women are famous for their aesthetic intervention. However, the country’s capital does not have any good side. The city is surrounded by both slum neighborhoods; even in the most central parts of the work without planning.
6. Houston, USA
Houston is the fourth largest city in the United States in terms of population; but it certainly does not appeal to the eye. There are many ugly American cities; but Houston is the ugliest of them, with a dreadful urban landscape and poor and homeless populations.
7. Luanda, Angola
As the capital of the recent economic success story in Africa, it is undergoing an incredible change; we hope that these new developments will bring a more inviting appearance compared to now and destroy the ugly apartment buildings that occupy the skies of one of the most expensive cities in the world.
8. Detroit, USA
Here is a bitter truth: Detroit is an ugly city. Not only aesthetically, but also in terms of quality of life – which is why it has lost a quarter of its population in ten years. Having one of the highest crime rates in the country also has an effect; but this is a dirty city, usually full of dilapidated buildings made of brick, concrete or glass.
9. Los Angeles, USA
Recognizing a city with its busy highways is enough to make it unattractive; but when you start walking, you will notice that there is not much to see. Despite the charm of Hollywood and nearby beaches, Los Angeles is not a beautiful city, unfortunately. Unfortunately there is no excuse for this aesthetic lack of one of the world’s most famous cities.
10. São Paulo, Brazil
Nature seems to have used all of its facilities in Rio and forgot the country’s other metropolis, Sao Paulo. One of the most exciting cities in the world when it comes to food and shopping; but the fact that it is a huge and ugly concrete forest is beyond doubt.
